Description

Our Heavy Duty Radial Drill is a robust industrial machine designed for precise hole drilling and tapping in large and heavy workpieces. Its high-quality construction ensures durability and stability, maintaining accuracy even under demanding conditions. The radial arm design enables flexible positioning of the drill head, allowing drilling at various angles and locations. With a powerful motor and enhanced power transmission system, it offers high-performance drilling capability. The machine's sturdy build and advanced features make it suitable for heavy-duty applications in industries such as construction, metalworking, and fabrication. Its consistent and reliable performance enhances productivity, making it an essential tool for large-scale machining operations.

Main Features:

  • High-strength cast iron guide rail, column & box, heat-treated for internal stress-relief, quenched surfaces for hardness, assure long-term stability & accuracy.

  • National standard grade electrical motor for reliable, energy-efficient performance.
  • Precision-ground, carburized & quenched gear box ensures low noise & smooth transmission.
  • Harbin bearings equip rolling components, enabling high-speed cutting.
  • Main shaft box auto-lubes, fully lubricating gears/bearings, solving inadequate lubrication of traditional methods.
  • The travel protection switch on the main shaft prevents damage to the main shaft and gear from misuse or auto-feeding.
  • Column safety lock switch; if forgotten to loosen, auto-lift cuts power, protecting column from stress, turbine & worm screw from slipping.
  • The lead screw is made by a brand manufacturer; special screw processing techniques like tempering & quenching, as well as grinding, give it a double service life & better accuracy. Brass nut provides better wear resistance.
  • Strict product quality accuracy screening from rough casting, parts procurement, and supplier selection ensures overall accuracy of our radial drilling machine.

How to use a radial drilling machine
      1. Choose the right drill bit: Before you begin drilling, make sure you have the right drill bit for the material you will be drilling. Select a drill bit with the proper diameter, based on the size of the hole you want to make and the capacity of the radial drilling machine (Ø80mm in this case).

      2. Set up the workpiece: Mount the workpiece securely to the drilling machine's table. The workpiece should be positioned in such a way that the drill bit will be able to reach the desired location.

      3. Adjust the radial arm: Use the adjustment mechanism to extend the radial arm to the desired length (2500mm in this case). Make sure the arm is properly locked into position.

      4. Adjust the drill head: Adjust the drill head to the desired angle and position. Make sure the drill bit is positioned directly above the point where you want to begin drilling.

      5. Start the machine: Turn on the machine and set the speed of the spindle to the desired level.

      6. Begin drilling: Slowly lower the drill bit into the material, applying steady pressure. Use the feed mechanism to control the depth of the hole being drilled.

      7. Stop the machine: When you have finished drilling the hole, stop the machine and turn it off.

      8. Remove the drill bit: Carefully remove the drill bit from the workpiece and inspect the hole for accuracy.

It's important to follow all safety precautions when using a radial drilling machine. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and ear protection, as well as ensuring that the workpiece is securely mounted to the machine's table. Additionally, always follow the manufacturer's instructions and guidelines when operating the machine.
